PloumExpo is a building in the City of Ploumagoar dedicated to visual arts. Historically it used to be the church presbytery, then a public library. Since 2010, the place is hosting three to four exhibitions of professional artists per year. Each season is built around a main theme, in order to show a diversity of artistic approaches, techniques, and points of views.
Mediation plays a central role. There is a floor dedicated to welcoming groups where artistic workshops are held. They are designed to resonate with the work and approach of the exhibited artist. The entrance is free and mediators can adapt to all audiences, from early childhood to the elderly, including schools, youth structures, social integration, and medical-social services.
PloumExpo benefits from the support of the Côtes d’Armor Department.
