The Net Plus gallery and the association Les ailes de Caius are pleased to present Pneuma, a collective exhibition dedicated to young creation. The five winners of the call for applications are all, by the greatest of mishaps, linked to animality, whether through the materials they use or figuration via various mediums. Pneuma (πνεῦ μα) is an ancient Greek word meaning “breath”. Pneuma is the warm breath of life, this moist breath that refers to a biological existence and therefore to a palpitation. From the fantastic bestiary of Jules Le Maut to the landscapes of fires carried by the winds of Tom Nadam, the breath of life is a common root to the five artists exhibited. Sharing a sensitive vision of the beings around them, they intermingle their respective practices and universes to weave a collective imaginary dream at the borders of reality.
