Minoterie21

Minoterie21 is located in a rural setting where its activities have been informed by the creation, construction and involvement of a series of four artists’ shelters or useable sculptures designed by the following artists: – John BJERKLIE (USA), Roland COGNET (France), Patrice LESTEVEN (France / Brittany), et Ye-Eun MIN (South Korea).

In parallel with the work, artists’ residencies and dialogue generated by these constantly evolving yet permanent art works, various presentations and exhibitions are also organized (including painting, sculpture, video projections, performances, installations…)
Every year a different artist is invited to realize a new work for an outside panel measuring 2m50 x 5m (98½ x 197 ins), which remains visible for a year. Previous editions have hosted the proposals of : Stefan SEHLER (Germany), Claire LESTEVEN (France), Briac LEPRÊTRE (France), Simon Faithfull (UK), Eva TAULOIS (France), Guillaume PINARD (France), Jason GLASSER (USA) and Quentin MONTAGNE (France)

  • Access into the artists’ shelters site is possible for visitors with reduced mobility
