Since December 2023, the Human Soul association has led the project La Piscine, an art center and meeting place in upper Rue Jean Jaurès, an emblematic, cosmopolitan neighborhood in the city of Brest.
La Piscine’s purpose lies in the growing openness in the art and culture worlds to accepting otherness, exchanging ideas, inclusion, and diversity. It addresses anyone wishing to learn more about its
initiatives and engagements to multidisciplinary artists on local, national, and international levels.
La Piscine was conceived as a space dedicated to all forms of art, where artists and local residents can meet and share ideas openly.
It also hosts multidisciplinary art exhibitions, artist residencies, educational and interactive workshops accompanied by artists and partners in the associative community, as well as cultural events held by associations and local partners. Each exhibition and event will be a medium for discussion on environmental, sociological, social, educational, and political issues, in an aim to bring different audiences together.
