The Raymond Hains gallery, named in homage to the artist of Brioche origin, has been based at the Saint-Brieuc School of Fine Arts since 2015.
Its programming revolves around three exhibitions a year, two cartes blanches and one collective, each associated with meetings, lectures and awareness-raising initiatives. Particular attention is paid to welcoming schoolchildren, thanks to the EAC (artistic and cultural education) programs developed by the establishment.
The program, created with artists from a wide range of backgrounds and horizons, is designed to reflect the singularity of its location, an art school that welcomes students from public courses and a preparatory class. It aims to redefine the contribution of amateur practices and the culture of learning within contemporary creation. From this point onwards, the gallery associates artists with school users and other local players, with a view to broadening the methods of transmission and emergence of artistic forms.
